Typical features of magazine advertisements are shown in the Stereophonics album “Keep Calm and Carry On” such as;
· The bands recognisable font displayed largely at the top of the page in a contrasting colour as well as the album cover and information about the release date and website is shown in this similar typography.
· The text on the advert has been limited so that it doesn’t distract the audience from the image, 22 words are presented giving only vital information that should be made aware to the audience.
· The main image shows the band sat around a table which is filled with breakfast items (toast, juice, teapot, condiments) and the location looks to be at the shore line as we can see the water rising to about knee height on the band members. The expressions on the faces of the band wouldn’t suggest that they were in an unusual location and this is likely to link to the album title “Keep Calm and Carry On”.
· The band members are all wearing fairly dark clothing and the table in the centre is filled with colourful items almost as if the attention should be focused on that rather than them.
